Cabinet gives green signal restore weekly off on On Saturdays, the quota for gasoline is reduced of government officials

The Cabinet of Ministers gave the green light to the restoration of weekly holidays on on Saturdays in government offices, federal minister for Information and Broadcasting Marryum Aurangzeb announced after the pivotal federal cabinet meeting on Tuesday.

Cabinet met chaired of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and discussed how in government can deal with looming energy crisis, which public had to suffer hours- prolonged load shedding.

Plus, 40% off in fuel quota of ministers and government employees were also approved.

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif had previously proposed two vacations a week to overcome the energy crisis.

In a statement on Twitter, Khawaja Asif said that in in current situation, there should to be holiday on Saturday and Sunday and half day on Friday, i.e. four-and-half-day work a week.

He suggested that office increase timing by one hour on working day.

Two hours of load shedding after June 30: information minister

Meanwhile, information minister said that after June 30, the duration of load shedding will reduced up to two hours.
