Firefighters are investigating whether the sharp rise in temperatures in the UK has contributed fire who swallowed the bus on south london high street.

Another witness records the incident added: “We all panicked, I saw fire out my window and ran in street in in case it explodes.”
Marlon Osborne, head of Operations in TfL, said, “Incident on bus in Brixton must have been really scary this morning for involved. Fortunately, all passengers were evacuated and no one was injured. We work closely with emergency services and the operator to urgently investigate the incident.
The Brigade said in a statement: “Firefighters were called to the burning bus. on Christchurch Road in Streatham Hill.
“Part of a double the deck bus was damaged fire. driver and passengers left bus before the arrival of the brigade. There were no reports of any injury.
“999 brigade management officers took 19 calls to the fire.
“The brigade was called at 9:50 in the morning, and fire was under control by 10.22. One fire Brixton Fire Department engine arrived on the scene.”
