Quetta: Balochistan government presented on Tuesday budget with a total expenses of over 612 billion rupees for fiscal year 2022-23.
In his address to the provincial assembly, Balochistan Finance Minister Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran said that over Rs 191 billion was offered. for Public Sector Development Program (PSDP).
Khetran said Rs 28.3 billion was offered. for federally funded projects (FFP) and 14.6 billion rupees. for foreign project assistance (FPA) – other than the proposed development funds of provinces.
Finance minister added what 3367 development projects currently underway for which the province offered 133 billion rupees and for 3470 new projects, she suggested total of 59 billion rupees.
He said that the proposed budget is 612.79 billion rupees, and the costs for in next fiscal year will amount to 539.94 billion rubles, therefore, budget deficit will be hours in at the level of 72.85 billion rupees.

Khetran added what government approved a 15% increase. in in basic salary of public- employees of the sector in line with wage rates of 2017. Increase by 15% also was made to pensions.
He added that the minimum wage for the workers were set in the amount of 25,000 rupees.
Finance minister said budget for 43 billion rupees were offered for health care, 83 billion rupees for education, and 56 billion rupees were offered for in maintenance of law and order in provinces.
