A Chicago police officer and a suspect were shot and killed during an exchange of shooting in in the city’s Englewood neighborhood, officials said Sunday afternoon.
According to a representative of the GPU, the officer was taken to the university. of Chicago Medical Center after being shot Sunday near an intersection of 69th Street and Wood Street.
Police supp. David Brown says three officers were in unmarked squad car in block 6900 of Sangamon at around 2:00 pm when they tried to stop another vehicle.

One of the officers were amazed twice gunshots, and was taken to the hospital by his partners in serious but stable condition.
The officers are back fire towards the attacker, hitting him once. Police say the suspect has been taken to area hospital in critical condition.
Shooting took place just over a mile from where another Chicago cop was shot in West Englewood on Wednesday. This officer was hit in shoulder and hit by bullet fragments in her head and was hospitalized in severe condition.
