ALLEN, Texas — Three men died after them small the boat capsized on North Texas lake during a severe storm over weekend, authorities said.
The boat capsized in Lake Lavon on Saturday night Collin County Sheriff office said. There were four men on board and one was able to keep on to the tree and call for sheriff’s help office said.
Texas Jaegers rescued a man holding on to the tree and learned that the other three boatmen had disappeared, leading to search by water and air of lake about 40 miles (64 km) to the northeast of Dallas.
The authorities said one male body was discovered early on Sunday morning, another was discovered on Sunday evening, and the third was found Monday. Collin County Sheriff’s Office identified dead as José Maria Dominguez III, 60; Julio Bibiano-Gonzalez, 34; and Rafael Bibiano-Olea, 30. All were residents of Plano area, according to the sheriff office statement.
