Police confirmed the incident
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Son of PTI candidate in PP-167 Khalid Gujar and son of PML-N candidate Nazir Chohan was injured in a clash as the two parties began campaigning. in constituency for scheduled by-elections in July.
The police confirmed the incident and stated that the clash occurred between the PML-N and PTI candidates. PTI candidate Khalid Gujjar stated that their office in PP167 was attacked by Nazir Chohan. who tore them apart banners when his guards opened fire.
“My son got injured after hit on vehicle and is currently are being treated at Jinnah Hospital,” he said and added that they filed a formal request for Registration of FIR against suspects.
Meanwhile, the PML-N candidate said he was returning home after the campaign, when PTI workers opened fire and hurt him son.
ESP has announced schedule for elections on 20 provincial seats vacated after leaving MPA of PTI were stripped of their seats. Candidates will announced election symbols on June 24th while voting continues on July 17th.
