ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday called on the Electoral Commission of Pakistan (ECP) do not assign character of ‘batsman’ to his fragment groupPTI-Nazriati.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Electoral Commissioner of Pakistan Sikandar Sultan Raja, PTI said it was made aware that a recent political party was registered with ECP and requested for security of batsman symbol.
PTI is the largest party in country with a large number of MNA in National Assembly, move of assigning the symbol “batsman” to PTI Nazriati would cause confusion among voters.
PTI urged ECP to take note of case and initiate action against founders of PTI Nazriati.
