ISLAMABAD: The meeting of the Financial Action Task Force on Money Laundering (FATF) is scheduled for this week, from 14 to 17 June 2022. in Berlin (Germany) where is fate of Pakistan will decide on its exclusion from the gray list or extension for another period of a few months with existing status.
The Pakistani authorities are full of hope and expect a positive outcome from the plenary session. When contacted by a senior Pakistani official on Sunday said, “We’ve got good hope for currently. We believe that our progress significant and highly acclaimed various members. However, the actual decision will be accepted in meeting, where of countries will comment on our progress. So let’s hope for in best”.
When official was asked that before Pakistan is removed from the gray list, will the FATF send its team for field trip for inspection performance of country, official answered that yes, if the country is cleared all points will go to the object and then remove from the gray list will be done.
