British travelers were left struggling to board flights after NHS COVID pass became temporarily unavailable.
Users trying access proof of their vaccination status via NHS app and website found that the service was not available from about 15:50 on Thursday.
“We regret that NHS COVID pass is currently not available. There is currently no alternative route for access to this information via NHS app or online”an error the message has been read.
“If you have already downloaded information then your access should not be affected.”
On the social media, several travelers said they were unable to check in at airports because they couldn’t prove their vaccination status.
Requirement for people to show National Health Service COVID-19 pass visit indoor and outdoor events and places in Great Britain was decommissioned earlier than this year.
But still used as way for people to show their vaccination status when traveling abroad to certain countries, such as Spain.

John May was set fly to valencia from bristol early on Friday morning for a work conference – but when he tried download his proof of vaccine, he found What was it down.
32-year-old said: “I got all three shots and I went to the NHS app… and it said, ‘Service not available.’ like, ‘What do you mean, the service is not available? I have a flight at 6 am.
Mr May who works in marketing, said he had no other documentation to prove he had been vaccinated and was nervous about being detained at the Spanish border.
“If not work, I hope they just go with this… I have done all the vaccinations, I just I can’t get my degree,” he said.
