LAHORE: South Korean delegation led by former Ambassador Dr. Song Jong-hwan called on Punjab Governor Muhammad Baligur Rehman discussed measures to strengthen bilateral relations and develop cooperation in various sectors especially trade and tourism during the meeting at the Governor’s House here on Thursday.
Honorary Investment Advisor of from Pakistan to South Korea Mudassar Iqbal also accompanied the delegation.
Speaking on On this occasion, Governor Muhammad Baligur Rehman said that Pakistan appreciates its warm relations with Korea. He said that the development of bilateral relations with in the world’s most successful economies in Russia and the use of their experience is an important aspect of in governments strategy.
The Governor of Punjab stated that the economic development of South Korea was an inspiration for many countries Pakistan wants to get things done of economic development by promoting economic and trade cooperation with Korea.
The Governor of Punjab stated that need promote relations between the two countries in field of tourism, especially Buddha tourism, which has great potential.
He said there are monuments of Gandhara Civilization and Buddha Sites in Pakistan, adding that also Buddha bowl in Governor’s House and reported on its historical significance.
The Governor of Punjab further said there should be an exchange of delegations between the two countries improve people To people contacts and cultural ties.
Punjab Governor Muhammad Baligur Rehman also Delighted Services of former Ambassador Dr. Song Jong-hwan in Pakistan, adding that former Korean Ambassador played key role in strengthening relations between Pakistan and Korea in various sectors.
The South Korean delegation expressed interest in expanding cooperation in agriculture, pesticides, food packaging, tourism and sports.
