Pakistan on Wednesday deplored the “reprehensible act” of ban Muslim students from wearing hijab in the Indian state of Karnataka and Indian envoy summoned to convey Islamabad concerns.
The students of the government-run High school in the Indian state was told not to wear hijab last month, an edict that soon spread to other educational institutions in the state. A dressed hijab student was also disturbed and mocked by a crowd of Hindutva supporters in Karnataka on Tuesday.
