Man dies after police stun gun incident left he needs an RNLI rescue from the Thames

Human who ended up in London’s River Thames dies after police taser him as independent review gets into business.

London Metropolitan Police officers were called to Chelsea Bridge Road in west London. on Saturday morning after the news that the man is believed to in he was in his 40s, was armed with screwdriver and scream at location.

Officers fired stun guns several times, but “this prevented the officers from safely detaining him,” the Met said, adding that the man then “walked” into the river.

That man, who was rescued from the RNLI river and taken to the hospital in critical condition, has since died, this has been confirmed on Sunday.

Independent office for Police behavior director Steve Noonan said: “We spoke to family to express our sincere condolences and explain our involvement. Our sympathies remain with them at this terrible time. Our independent investigation is in progress. way in the actions of the police on the bridge, and we began to collect and verify evidence.”
