Justin Rose and Adam Scott Headline 14 Finalists for 2027 World Golf Hall of Fame

The World Golf Hall of Fame has announced 14 finalists for its Class of 2027, a group that includes influential instructors and a prominent broadcaster. The list, released on September 28, 2026, represents the next stage in the selection process for the sport’s highest honor.

The induction ceremony is scheduled to take place on July 12, 2027, in St Andrews, Scotland. The World Golf Hall of Fame, which is now headquartered in Pinehurst and managed by the USGA, typically holds its induction ceremonies biennially.

A total of 14 finalists have been named for the sport's highest honor.

Categories and Finalists

The finalists are divided into four distinct categories: Male Competitors, Female Competitors, Contributors, and Historic Players and Amateurs. According to the LPGA, the candidates represent a wide range of achievements across different eras of the game.

The 2027 finalists include:

  • Male Competitors: Jim Furyk, Corey Pavin, Justin Rose, and Adam Scott.
  • Female Competitors: Cristie Kerr, Liselotte Neumann, Inbee Park, and Dottie Pepper.
  • Contributors: Instructor Butch Harmon, broadcaster Jim Nantz, and golf course architect Harry Colt.
  • Historic Players and Amateurs: Ted Ray, Jay Sigel, and Alexa Stirling.

Justin Rose and Adam Scott are among the male finalists, while Inbee Park and Cristie Kerr represent the female competitor category alongside Liselotte Neumann and Dottie Pepper.

The induction ceremony will return to St Andrews, Scotland, in July 2027.

The Selection Process

To secure induction into the Hall of Fame, a finalist must receive at least 75 percent of the vote from a 24-member selection committee. This committee, which includes Hall of Fame members, media representatives, and golf administrators, is scheduled to meet this fall to deliberate on the candidates.

While the 14 finalists represent the final pool for this cycle, some notable eligible players did not advance to this stage. Sergio Garcia, who was eligible for consideration for the first time this year, was not included among the final 14 names selected for the ballot.

The induction of the chosen class in St Andrews will coincide with the Hall’s ongoing efforts to highlight the international nature of the game, following its recent move to new facilities at the USGA’s Golf House Pinehurst in North Carolina.
