Koei Tecmo has revealed the first images of Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires.
The images show, among other things, how strategy finds way to the musougame. This allows players to capture key locations on the map, including castles, and temporarily deploy weapons such as catapults to harass the opposing army.
The Domestics system, where it is possible to form alliances, and the character creator will also be further expanded.
Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires will be released sometime this year for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game was delayed earlier this year.
Dynasty Warriors started out as a fighting game on the PlayStation in 1997, before moving on to hack ‘n slash. In Japan, the game’s count is one part behind and the upcoming part is called “Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires.”
