LAHORE: Punjab Counter Terrorism Authority (CTD) Says It Arrested Mastermind as well as Intermediary of Bomb explosion in the city of Johar from Balochistan.
The arrests took place during an intelligence operation conducted by out CTD with coordination of top intelligence agencies.
Talking to media at the Central Police Department on Thursday, Punjab CTD DIG Afzaal Ahmed Kausar and Operations DIG Kamran Adil identify mastermind of Explosion of Johar as Samiul Haq and facilitator as Uzair Akbar.
On June 23, 2021, there was an explosion near a residential building. of Head of Jamaatud Dawa Hafiz Said in Johar Town killed three people and injured 24 others, including a police constable. A few days after the incident information minister Fawad Chaudhry and National Security Adviser Dr. Moid Yusuf said at a press conference that the mastermind of in attack was “a citizen of India, and he is bound with [Indian intelligence agency] RAW”.
On Thursday, Mr. Kausar and Mr. Adil said law enforcement seized currency from the suspected terrorists. of Iran, UAE, Turkey, Afghanistan and Pakistan, laptops and other electronic devices used by them for transportation out explosion.
Afzaal Kausar insisted that the opportunity of participation of foreign elements in the incident cannot be fixed out.
Giving details, he told CTD Lahore teams It was left for Balochistan on Clue-off on April 24th. team arrested suspects at Kundi checkpoint on RCD Highway, Quetta. He added that the terrorists were returning to Pakistan after crossing international border.
Mr. Kausar said that Peter Paul David was earlier arrested at the airport and had Samiul Haq, nicknamed Adnan. who assigned him a target. He added that Samiul Haq, Uzair Akbar and some foreign elements visited Dubai and held a meeting with another terrorist Id Gul Khan.
A week later, Id Gul Khan arrived in Pakistan. Later, Samiul Haq gave David three mobile telephones and 600,000 rupees, asking him to contact Lahore to hit goal.
Both Samiul Haq and Uzair also sent several more money David and Eid al-Adha through a well-known company. DIG said David told CTD about involvement of Ziaullah, Eid Gul, woman, Aisha and Sajjad who were arrested on June 29, 2021
DIG Kausar said that the court already awarded by Eid Gul, Sajjad Hussain, Ziaullah, Peter Paul David death offer. Aisha Eid Gul was sentenced to five years in prison.
When asked by DIG CTD, Punjab said that another fugitive in case, Muhammad Navid Akhtar Khan, also be arrested soon.
He said security measures have been stepped up. in Punjab like other provinces after the incident at the University of Karachi. When questioned, he stated that CTD Punjab had nothing to do with with in arrest of Baloch student from Punjab University.
