Egyptian Mediator Warns Israel: Hamas Will Confront if Calm is Not Restored Tomorrow.

Jewish media reported, citing Israeli sources, that the Egyptian mediator told Tel Aviv that if a truce with Islamic Jihad is not reached today and tomorrow, Hamas will openly confront.

Hamas spokesman Abdel Latif al-Kanu said: “The message from the united hall to the occupiers that the heavy hand of the resistance is capable of hurting them is evidence that his strikes are hard and are being struck throughout the organization to pay the price for his actions. crimes and stop them.

Yesterday, Thursday, the Israeli media reported, citing officials, that the talks on a truce in the Gaza Strip had been stopped.

Yesterday, the representative of the Islamic Jihad movement in Palestine, Tariq Selmi, said that “no international party, except for the Egyptian brothers, communicates with them.”

US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan also called his Israeli counterpart, Tzachi Khanegbi, during which they discussed the events in Gaza and the Palestinian response, as Sullivan reaffirmed the administration’s strong support for Israel’s security, as well as his right to protect his people from rocket attacks.

Sullivan noted ongoing regional efforts to broker a ceasefire and stressed the need to reduce tensions and prevent further loss of life.

Earlier, sources in the Islamic Jihad movement denied reports that a truce had been reached with the Israeli side, emphasizing the continuation of mediation efforts.

The Islamic Jihad movement said that Egypt had invited the movement’s general secretary, Ziyad al-Nahal, to Cairo to discuss a ceasefire, but the movement decided to send a political department official, Muhammad al-Hindi, stating that “al-Hindi will only listen to Egypt’s proposal on the issue of ceasefire and assures the Egyptians that the first condition for them to accept a ceasefire is to stop killing.”

Israeli media have reported that Islamic Jihad has set 3 conditions, the first is to return the body of the captive Hader Adnan, the second is to stop the killing policy, and the third condition is to cancel the settler flag march scheduled for next week to Jerusalem.”

The Israeli website Walla quoted Israeli officials as confirming that “ceasefire talks are ongoing but no results” showing that “Israel has not agreed to hand over the body of Hader Adnan as part of the ceasefire agreement.”
