Dark Souls 3 now runs at 60 frames per second on Xbox Series X and Series S.
Xbox confirms this on Twitter. The update is possible thanks to the so-called FPS Boost and offers 60 fps in 900p, the original resolution of the Xbox One version. The PlayStation 5 version currently offers 60 fps in 1080p. A comparison from Digital Foundry shows that the Xbox Series X version is more stable than the Xbox Series S version.Earlier this year, Microsoft increased the framerates of many games. For example, Bethesda titles like the Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition and Fallout 4, and Far Cry 5, Titanfall 2 Shadow of the Tomb Raider run at 60 or in some cases 120 fps.
