Climber killed, another injured in avalanche on in north face of Ben Nevis.
The Scottish Police said they made aware of avalanche around 15:35 on Friday.
A rescue team in the Lochaber mountains and a helicopter were sent to help two climbers among the difficult weather conditions.
A 48-year- said the old man dead at the scene and 40-yearthe old one was taken to the hospital for treatment.
representative for the rescue team said they were called out after being warned of an avalanche and finding two injured.
They added: “Sad one survived fatal injury and another was seriously injured after sliding of 600 meters (approx.).
“WITH weather creating In some difficult conditions, the helicopter was limited in the assistance it could offer.”
This took eight hours to transfer the victims to the hospital in dire conditions, the spokesman said.
