ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandial called a meeting of Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) on Thursday (tomorrow) for consideration confirmation of Judge Musarrat Hilali regular Main judge of Peshawar Supreme Court.
Judge Hilali acted as Chief Justice. of PHC from April 1, 2023.
JCP, led by the CJP and consisting of four senior-majority of judges of the Supreme Court, and former judge, federal law ministerattorney general for Pakistan and senior advocate appointed by the Bar Council of Pakistan except one representative of Provincial and Islamabad Bar Councils, upon confirmation will propose their name to the parliamentary committee on Meeting of judges in Supreme Courts.
JUSTICE FAEZ ISA CALLS CJP
Senior Judge Puisne of Judge of the Supreme Court (SC) Kazi Faez Isa called on Main judge of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandial one day after former visited special national Constitutional Congress in the National Assembly (NA).
According to private The TV channel, citing sources, said that the meeting, which took place shortly before iftar, continued in “nice atmosphere”. Both judges had a detailed discussion on important court cases.
The sources also claimed that Judge Isa gave clarifications after consulting with with CJP Bandial.
Previously in day Judge Kazi Faez Isa made a clarification on visit special national constitutional convention in the National Assembly (NA), dedicated to the golden jubilee of Constitution of Pakistan.
