ISLAMABAD: Fawad Chaudhry, Vice President of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Organization (PTI), was arrested by police from outside Supreme Court (SC) for 16 IGOs.
Fawad Chaudhry attended in Supreme Court building from 12:00 to avoid his arrest. He was immediately arrested by the police after he stepped out of SC room late Wednesday night.
During the press conference, Fawad Chaudhry said that it would be first time in history that the lawyer is arrested. “Politics divided the legal fraternity and all sections in Pakistan facing same challenge”.
He criticized that the head of PTI was arrested by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) when he got to court. for collateral security.
The PTI Vice President called for such stepsthat takes control of the situation. He slammed government saying that everything tactics used to silence political opponents.
“When I attended in SC buildingsecurity staff contacted off light and asked me to surrender.” “Yesterday I filed a petition with the IHC, which was considered by the Chief Justice. justice and asked the authorities to refrain from arresting me until 12 May. arrest me, despite court orders.”
Fawad Ch said some elements are trying to create misunderstandings between PTI and the military.
After the press conference, Fawad Ch. was arrested by the police as part of maintenance. of Public Order (MPO) Section 16.
