Doha, May 24 – The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, said on Wednesday at the Qatar Economic Forum that the launch of air communications between Georgia and Russia is a natural process, as it is part of the trade and economic relations between the two countries.
In addition, he said that the resumption of flights between the two countries is important for the millions of Georgians living in Russia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin previously abolished the visa regime with Georgia, and also lifted the ban imposed in 2019 on Russian airlines on direct flights to the country.
