The FTX exchange has signed an agreement with the non-profit association Brink, which will be used to award scholarships and grants to Bitcon developers. The agreement signed for a total of 450 thousand dollars in a period of 3 years, aims to encourage growth within the community of Bitcoin Core programmers.
The FTX press release was collected by the PR Newswire portal, which details part of the agreement between the exchange and the Brink association. As the text highlights, this would be the first multi-year agreement that Brink would have with a cryptocurrency exchange.

Brink, is a non-profit association dedicated to research and development within Bitcoin Core. Founded in 2020, has a scholarship and grant program fully funded by third party donations.
Among other sponsors Brink are the companies Blockfi, Nexo, Gemini, Kraken and the Human Rights Foundation. The initial sponsors were John Pfeffer, founder of an investment firm that bears his name, and Argentine Wenceslao Casares, founder of the bitcoin custody service, Xapo
In the words of Brink co-founder John Newbery , the mission of this association is to provide financial support or assistance to Bitcoin developers. With this new association, “financial stability is given to make long-term investments in the community.”
Apply for a scholarship in Brink
Those who are interested in a scholarship, can apply directly from the Brink portal. The grantees will spend a year working hand in hand with software engineers and developers within Bitcoin Core. This will allow them to expand their knowledge in different learning areas such as networking peer-to-peer , proof of work, Taproot, among others.
In the case of grants, developers must Have a verifiable curriculum in contributions to Bitcoin or related projects. The people who are assigned the grants will be committed to publicly showing the development and progress of their Bitcoin-oriented projects.
FTX also scholarship in Axie Infinity
FTX donations have also gone to other areas of the cryptocurrency ecosystem. On August 5, in a fact reported by CriptoNoticias, it was learned that FTX, through an alliance of the company that created the game Yield Guild Games, would grant scholarships to more than 100 Axie Infinity players.
