British researchers are testing a system based on artificial intelligence that they believe can diagnose dementia in one day from a single brain scan, wrote MTI
The system can also predict that the disease will remain unchanged for years, slowly worsen, or require immediate treatment. Currently, a number of brain recordings and tests are required to diagnose dementia. Researchers say early diagnosis significantly improves patients’ prospects.

The algorithm is able to identify patterns on the recordings that even experienced neurologists do not see, and searches its database for prospects.
