Water issue will be defeated by June 15, Khurshid Shah told NA

Minister for Water Resources Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah on On Thursday, the National Assembly informed about the lack of water. issue we hope that by June 15 they will be defeated.

Answer to the question of orders raised by several members about the shortage of water in Sindh and Punjab, Khurshid Shah said that the country facing water scarcity problem and tail areas of Sindh and Punjab were among more sufferers.

He said the lack of water was important issue how it relates to our future. All our problems are basically related with water, he added.

He said that the temperature in Sakardu rose to 27/28 degrees Celsius, causing improved water inflow in Tarbela. This year the influx of water in Kabul river also remained low compared to last yearhe added.

Khurshid Shah expressed the hope that current the water shortage situation will improve by 30 June. He assured that all provinces will be provided with water in accordance with their share. Water shortage will also share with provinces, respectively, added.

He also requested Punjab government provide 200-300 cubic meters of water to Cholistan from his share.

Earlier, Fayyazuddin, Nawab Yusuf Talpur and other members stated that many districts facing acute shortage of water.
