Number of people in England is waiting start routine inpatient treatment increased to new record high.
In the end of July, and total of 6.8 million people waited start treatment, NHS England said. It was up from 6.7 million in june and it highest number from the beginning of the recording in August 2007
Of these, 377,689 were waiting more than 52 weeks before start hospital treatment. It was up from 355 774 to the end of June.

BUT total of 2885 people in England was waiting more than two years before start planned inpatient treatment at the end of July, according to NHS England. It was down from 3861 to the end of June and Peak of 23 778 in January 2022.
Ministers and NHS England wanted eliminate all expectations of more two years, unless the patient’s choice or for complex cases requiring specialized treatment by July this year.
There was a fall in number of people waiting more than 12 hours in Ambulance and emergency departments between decision recognized and actually admitted, although the figures were still close to record levels.
Data shows what 28 756 people waited more than 12 hours in August, down from record 29 317 in July, but still second-highest number reported for any calendar month in records are coming back to August 2010
Waiting number at least four hours from decision admit to admission amounted to 130 528 in August, down from 136,221 the previous month.
