Covid-19 Vaccine developed Valneva was given regulatory approval from the Medicines and Health Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
The UK’s independent drug regulator is first in in world approve Valneva’s product, the MHRA said in a statement.
This is the sixth Covid vaccine to receive MHRA approval.
Approval comes as a number of Coronavirus deaths are recorded every week in England and Wales continue to rise though the levels remain well below achieved during previous waves of virus.
