During the solemn event, many drew attention to the carpet in Westminster Abbey, which resembled the Ukrainian flag. The Telegraph later reported that British authorities described the coronation carpet’s resemblance to the Ukrainian flag as a “lucky coincidence”.
Britain’s King Charles III and his wife, Queen Camilla, were crowned on Saturday. Buckingham Palace invited more than 2,000 guests, including representatives from 203 countries and territories, including about 100 heads of state.
