The UK government has confirmed that it will introduce on Environmental legislation aimed at protecting the Irish language in Northern Ireland at home of communities.
The Identity and Language (Northern Ireland) Act provides for measures to “promote and respect the diversity of Northern Ireland”. national cultural and linguistic identity”.

The bill would amend the Northern Ireland Act to allow for creation of three new public authorities in Northern Ireland including office of Identity and cultural expression to promote cultural pluralism and respect for diversity, along with authorized on Irish language and Ulster Scots/Ulster British Traditions.
Irish language to be provided official status in Northern Ireland will be protected new commissioner, entrusted with development best practice standards for public authorities follow. These standards, which are subject to approval, will be help to facilitate interaction between Irish-speaking service users and public body.
Another commissioner will work strengthen and develop the language arts and literature related with Ulster Scots and Ulster British Traditions, and will promote Ulster Scots services provided by public authorities.
After Executive failure to progress legislation through the Northern Ireland Assembly, Secretary of State for Northern Ireland pledged to pass legislation through Parliament to be submitted on Wednesday.
In addition to legislation, the UK government also announced delivery of two of their own commitments to the New Decade, the New Approach. The government officially recognizes the Ulster Scots as a national minority in accordance with the Framework Convention. for protection of national minorities, status already according to Irish, Welsh and Scots, and since 2014, among others, Cornish.
The government will also to provide £4 million to An Ciste Infheistíochta Gaeilge, an Irish language investment fund.
Secretary of State Brandon Lewis said: “Introduction of this bill is a significant milestone no just in continued delivery of New decade, new approach, but in styling down a new cultural framework for in people of Northern Ireland.
“This legislation is carefully balanced, as agreed by all parties, to ensure everyone in Advantages of Northern Ireland.
“Legislation will not only conscientiously implement on measures within the framework of the New Decade, the New Approach, this is also the main ensure principles of respect and tolerance, as they say in Belfast [ Good Friday] The agreement continues to be implemented.”
