Lightning Strikes Kill Eight People and Injure Three Others in Narowal and Sheikhupura

According to reports, eight people lost their lives and three others sustained injuries when lightning struck several areas in Narowal and Sheikhupura districts on Sunday. The incident occurred during heavy rain and strong wind gusts that hit the region.

Areas Affected

The areas affected in Narowal include Ratanpur, Changuwali, Qangoi, Panjpir and Ratikhurd areas of tehsil Shakargarh and Zafarwal. Meanwhile, in Sheikhupura, lightning struck Chak Shahpur and Mandiali Town.

Casualties

Six people lost their lives while four others were critically injured in Narowal. In Sheikhupura, two people were killed and one was injured in the incident.

Power Outage

Aside from the casualties, the lightning also caused damage to various transformers of the Sheikhupura grid station, resulting in a power outage that lasted for several hours.
