Israeli President Isaac Herzog confirmed that two weeks ago a delegation from South Asia met with his in Israel and that the delegation included two Pakistani American citizens.
According to International News Agencyduring negotiations at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the President of Israel confirmed the meeting with Pakistani delegation but did not reveal identities of members of delegation.

The Duke claimed that two Pakistani citizens permanently resided in in United States, but were “proud Pakistanis”.
He also stated that the meeting with the Pakistani delegation was “very welcome” and that he was pleasantly surprised as no Pakistani delegation had ever visited Israel before.
Earlier, Pakistani-American Anila Ahmed shared a photo. on Twitter of her meeting with the President of Israel on 12 May. In the photo, she is presenting a book she has written. father Qutbuddin Ahmed on Tehreek-e-Pakistan and Quaid-e-Azam to the President of Israel.
Anila Ahmed is a politician, writer and educator, well-known for her social work in United States.
Her tweet suggests she was part of of delegation, which met with the president of Israel.
Although it wasn’t right away clear who was part of Pakistani delegation, former human rights minister Shirin Mazari criticized the inclusion of Pakistan Television (PTV) host Waqar Qureshi in delegation and stated that he was “shocked” to see him at work for “public institution” of “sensitive nature”.

In reply to Qureshi also took on Twitter and stated that Mazari former boss ex-foreigner minister Raza Kasuri held first “officialPakistani-Israeli meeting in Turkey, “following which Israel relinquished an important license requirements for Pakistan”.
Qureshi also claimed that Mazari “saved her job without protesting”.
Member of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Arslan Khalid also took on Twitter to announce that the President of Israel has confirmed the meeting with Pakistani delegation.

Responding to Arslan’s tweet, the leader and minister of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal argued that no official or semi-official A delegation from Pakistan visited Israel.

Ahsan Iqbal repeated that governments policy on Israel was clear; it did not recognize the state of Israel.
