KARACHI: The opening ceremony of The main maritime exercise of the Pakistani Navy Seaspark-22 was held in Karachi.
The two-year exercise is geared towards assessing war readiness and validating operations plans of the Pakistani navy against the expected threat spectrum, in particular in the maritime domain.
Boss of Navy Admiral of Staff Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi honored the occasion as the main guest.
At the beginning, the deputy head of Naval personnel (operations) presented the overview of the exercise. He pointed this out challenges of hybrid gray and contemporary geostrategic warfare environment require a skillful response from the Pakistani Navy.
He also highlighted factors affecting type and character of war in contemporary environment ensuring continuous evaluation of environment and revaluation of to possess plans.
The navy commander claimed that the Pakistani navy remains combat- ready and fully aware of its responsibility to safeguard national maritime interests during the pace and war times.
He stressed that the Seaspark-22 exercise will give Pakistan momentum resolve of maintain the pace and stability by promoting safe and sustainable shipping environment in the region.
The exercise will be conducted in the Arabian Sea along the Pakistani coast. All naval platforms e assets of the Navy, special along the armed forces and detachments of Pakistani marines with other elements of The Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA), the Pakistani Army and the Pakistani Air Force will participate in the exercise.
