ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet in decision Case No. 223/Rule-19/2023 dated April 30, 2023 approved the appointment of eight members of National Labor Relations Commission (NIRC) with instant effect against nine positions proposed by the ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (MoOP&HRD).
Newly appointed members of NIRC: Syed Nur ul Hasnain (Ret. Civil Servant), Abdul Qayyum (Ret. District and Session Judge), Sohail Akram (Ret. District and Session Judge), Muhammad Zubair Khan (Ret. District and Session Judge), Shabbir Hussain Awan (Retired District and Sessions Judge), Judge of Session), Muhammad Siraj-ul-Islam Khan (Counsel), Abdul Ghani (Counsel) and Munawar Hussain Turi (Counsel).
According to the press release posted here on Sunday MoOP&HRD in agreement with cabinet decisionofficial notices issued for appointment of members respectively.
nine posts of members were vacant for V last a few months. Purpose against these vacancies were required be made with OK of Federal office. Accordingly, MoOP&HRD submitted a summary for cabinet on 04/30/2023 forwarding panel of nominations for meeting against vacant positions.
NIRC is an attached department of MoOP&HRD created in accordance with Article 53 of Commission on Industrial Relations (IRA), 2012 The Commission is authorized to deal with with judgment of labor disputes, registration of trade alliances, determination of collective bargainers, unfair labor practices and individual complaints in transprovincial establishments and located in Islamabad.
