LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on A reporter arrested on Monday for trends in execution against the prime minister on social media, Geo News reported.
A case was recorded against the defendant called Sabir Hashmi after the FIA Cyber Crime Wing conducted an operation in The model city of Lahore area.
According to the FIA, Sabir has been charged of following an “indecent” trend. against PM Imran Khan. The agency seized Hashmi mobile telephone and other personal effects.
Previously, Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired a meeting of the party of the Central Executive Committee (CEC), during which he expressed his disappointment over the indecent trend that consisted of personal attacks.
Condemning the act, the premier defined it as “economic and intolerable”, adding that “such elements cannot be left uncontrolled and their actions must be condemned ”.
On the other hand, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Politic Communication Shahbaz Gill on Sunday had said that the government he turned to the courts of the country against a journalist who made “insulted and made-up” statements about First Lady Bushra Bibi.
The SAPM stated that “rigorous legal action will be taken against those who propagation false news about first Mrs.”
A day ago, a reporter claimed that Bushra Bibi had “entered in to fight with PM Imran Khan ”and had left Ban Gala for Lahore to stay with her friend, Farah Khan house. The voice soon started to spread on social media and WhatsApp groups.
