RIan Giggs wrote a poem to his ex-girlfriend Kate Greville in that he told her that “pulling you was my greatest coo,” the court heard.
Lawyers read out packs of message flow between the then couple, and among them was a rhyming note that was sent in early stages of their relationship.
Mr. Giggs’ poems filled with innuendo begins: “My dear Katya. Definitely our love was destiny” and ends with he refers to his genitals as a “totem pole”.
The poem was written in response to a poem by Kate Greville former football player, which included the phrase “Every day you are proud of me because you are well provided for.”
It was also heard Mr. Giggs said he loved his then-girlfriend.more than all my performances in the Premier League, and that’s a lot.”
Conversely, Mme Greville said that her “favorite place in in world” was “in little gap” under his chin. Jury also heard how online harassment was common in their relationship.
This was reported in the royal court of Manchester. how the ex-footballer sent a message to his then girlfriend that he would ‘stalk her like crazy” if he didn’t talk to her.
When asked what this meant, Mr. Giggs replied that it was mutual and that: “It just so we checked up on each other… it was just common in our relationship.”
Court also heard that during his tenure as Wales manager, Mr Giggs handed over copy of his itinerary to Madame Greville, which details “every minute” of his daily routine so she can match it.
When their relationship broke down, Mr. Giggs said he would turn up unannounced at Miss Greville gym, home and workplace in trying to “fire up” things.
The court heard that on every time former football player turned up without telling Miss Greville they got back together.
“She was happy that I fought for us and that I kept insisting,” he told jurors. Court also heard about the night of November 1, 2020, when he allegedly attacked Ms. Greville.
Mr Giggs admitted that he tried to stop Miss Greville’s sister, Emma Greville, from reporting the altercation to the police. using his adolescence daughter like a “lever”.
Peter Wright QC for Crown, finished my cross-examination of Mr. Giggs, asking “You attacked her [Kate Greville], is not it? And you attacked her sister, didn’t you?
“No,” he replied. twice.
Mr. Giggs said he was “frightened” that the police on them way because of possible consequences of false statements made to the police, adding: “This just would not look good”.
