The long-standing partnership between Sony and Activision, which saw Call of Duty updates issued first on its platforms and extensive PlayStation promotion, is ending.

Microsoft President Brad Smith stated that Sony’s current agreement with Activision Blizzard would “expire next year” during an interview with CNBC on Tuesday from Brussels.
As things stand, Call of Duty 2024, also known as Cerberus, will be the last game to use the deal. PlayStation will still receive the remaining two Call of Duty games if no deal is made.
Speaking of agreements, Smith asserted during the interview that the 12-year total extension of the 10-year pact it offered Sony was preferable to the one Sony presently has.
According to Smith, everyone who has looked at this “would agree it’s a better arrangement for Sony than the one they currently have with Activision Blizzard.”

Smith said that Microsoft and Nvidia had reached an agreement during his conference on Tuesday in Brussels to bring Xbox PC games to Nvidia GeForce Now. Should the $69 billion deal be authorized, including games from Activision Blizzard, such as Call of Duty and Diablo IV?
Call of Duty will be available on the Nintendo Switch and other systems thanks to a 10-year agreement that the firm previously revealed with Nintendo.
