Texas Gov. Greg Abbott ordered everyone public schools to conduct “unannounced, random intrusion detection audit” as way strengthen school security in commemoration of shooting in elementary school in Uvalde, Texas left 21 dead and 17 wounded last a week. In a letter written on Wednesday director of Texas School Security Center, Abbott asked the center to coordinate with Texas Education Agency perform in random inspections of violators, forcing employees to “find weak pointsand try to quickly enter the school buildings without getting caught. Abbott also instructed the center to claim all of Texas public schools in review as well as update them safety plans and safety training by September and begin working on legislation related to “strengthening our schools” for 2023 session.
