Police are investigating allegations 10-year- the old man was chased through seaside village near the motorist in car. Angry Mom Charlotte Reffold says the police asked if she would accept a written apology from the man rather than take the case to court.
Her sonRiley, claimed he twice chased the man and jumped over garden wall in Morpha Bichan, Gwynedd, escape and was left too “scared” to leave family home.
North Wales Police confirmed that an “incident” had occurred. in Morfa Bychan and this currently “under investigation”. Representative could not give “farther comment at this stage.”

Mrs. Reffold in the old NorthWalesLive Riley was with three friends on in edge of the Porthmadog golf course when a man approached them.
“They were just playingjumping over flow, like boys do,” she said. “The man said they on private land, and the boys said it was not his land. Then he grabbed one of took them by the shoulder up his bike, throwing it over a wall on the road”.

Unlike Riley, the other boys bikes and were able to escape leaving him on his own. According to Mrs Reffold, who runs en escape room business in nearby Porthmadog, then a motorist followed her son.
Hoping for driver will not follow him, Riley faced private, gravel driveway, but he claimed he was closely followed by a motorist. When he reached property he dived over short wall to “avoid Existence hit’, hiding until the man rolled over out his car.

When the shore was clear Riley ran home and told his father Marvin what happened. Factory manager did not have sure how there were many things he could believe.
On arrival home from workMrs. Reffold took her son out in her car trace it steps and check it out story. “Boys full of fiction and we wanted do sure he said us in truth,” she said.
“When I arrived at home, he was still shaking and could not find words. out right. So we went out in in car. I found deviation signs in gravel and there were skid marks on wall as if car braked sharply. Riley described car and we were able to find it on Driveway”.
Mrs. Reffold dialed 999 and gave police the vehicle registration number. The incident was referred to the Porthmadog police. who spoke to the motorist before calling family last Monday.
“They offered community permission order as way of avoiding trial,” she said. “But we felt that the incident was justified more than a written apology.
After the incident, Riley is no longer left home except to go to school. All the boys were questioned by them parents check out their stories.
According to Mrs Reffold, her son still very “emotional” about what happened. “Riley is still shaking and he is afraid to go. out with his friends,” she said.
“In my opinion, the reaction of the police was not good enough. They must protect children but he is afraid to leave house because he doesn’t think the police help him if he needs them.”
