Clayton County Police Investigate deadly barbershop shooting in Clayton County.
Victim 17-year old Anthony “China” McClain. he was a hairdresser who co-owner shop with his mother.
“I’m just standing outside the hairdresser’s shop and there was some commotion and something happened and a stray bullet, that’s what,” said LaShawn Hood, McClain’s cousin.
Hood remembered the moment someone shot McClane. “It affects me a lot because my children were very close. Just be young child, just be innocent and part of in gun violence is coming on in in city,” she said.
For hoursClayton County Police blocked off salon off Boulevard River Station in Clayton County to investigate that caused excitement outside in shop who killed McClane. The police said they caught him in crossfire. His family said he was an innocent witness.
His family said that McClain was at work doing what he loved most -cutting hair. Anthony was very gifted child. He was home-educated, very helpful with his mother and grandparents, and excelled in everything he did.”
Hood said he showed that spirit of excellence at the barbershop shop. “He was very active. He was in his second year of college, he was licensed as a barber,” she said.
He worked to own shop with his mother. “It was family business that they started together. They did everything from installing everything up floors, paintings on walls and just put everything they had into family businessHood said.
Now that dream unfortunately interrupted. They have something to say to his killer. “I just I must say that I wish would you turn in. Young people please just put down your weapon down. There are other ways to deal with situations besides violence,” Hood said.
