ISLAMABAD: Whole country faces unannounced power outage for hours and the National Electricity Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) took this seriously and warned of strict action. against in power distribution company (DISCO) will found involved in carrier out unplanned power shutdowns.

On Thursday, NEPRA Chairman Tausif H. Farooqi, chairing public hearing on fuel price adjustment (FPA) for month of February 2022 said the country currently faced with power deficit of 5,372 megawatts (MW) and 2,139 MW less due to fuel shortages power generated.

Insofar as government claims to power generating power of 40000MW so there should be no influence on in system if five to seven thousand megawatts of electricity is not produced, the chairman of NAPRA said.

SNGPL not give any schedule/date for restoration of gas supply to the CNG industry, Paracha said.
