Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday thanked his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi. for his condolences over man and material losses caused floods in Pakistan.

Apart from Modi, several world leaders including Chinese President Xi Jinping and King Salman of Saudi Arabia and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman expressed sorrow over devastation caused due to recent floods in Pakistan.
President Xi, King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed sent their messages of condolences to President Arif Alvi over loss of lives and hurts scores of other in recent floods inundating different regions of Pakistan, in the media wing of presidency.

“In his telegram, the king expressed his profound sorrow and sincere condolences to the President of Pakistan, families of calm and friendly people of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, wishes the deceased the mercy and forgiveness of Allah Almighty, their relatives patience, and the wounded – a speedy recovery and an appeal to Allah Almighty with a request to save the president and people of Pakistan against any harm.”
in in a separate telegram, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and the Deputy Prime Minister expressed their profound sorrow and sincere sympathy with the president of Pakistan and families of late. He also prayed for deceased and wished quick recovery for wounded people.

Chairman Xi, in message to President Alvi, noted that there had recently been severe floods in Pakistan, resulting in heavy casualties and serious property losses. Xi, on on behalf of of Chinese government as well as people in his name, expressed deep condolences over casualties and sincere sympathy for the families of the dead, injured and people in affected areas.
