KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday suspended the order of local court ordering an autopsy of Dr. Aamir Liaqat Hussein.
The petition was filed by Aamir Liaquat. son as well as daughter to petition the court to stop the exhumation and autopsy that should have been carried out on June 23rd.
At the beginning of today’s hearing, lawyer Zia Ahmed Awan, petitionerÑ… counsel, said that the trial judge (East) issued the order after hearing an oral statement from his client. He said they were against a post-mortem examination. of Aamir Leaquat.
At the same time, the judge ordered the lawyer to read out order of judicial magistrate. The SHC subsequently suspended the magistrate’s order regarding the autopsy of Aamir Liaquat.
Upon hearing the decision, former Bushra’s wife Iqbal burst into tears.

Judicial Magistrate (East) Wazir Hussain Memon on June 20 ordered the authorities to carry out post-opening on televangelist body who passed away earlier this month in mysterious circumstances.
BUT six- member of the medical board was formed for opening on court order. Police Surgeon Dr. Summaya Syed was appointed as his head.
Additional Police Surgeon Shahid Nizam, Chief of Forensic Science, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center of Department Perwaiz Makhdum, Medical Examiner Dr. Arib Bakay, Forensic Examiner Dr. Hari Ram and Dr. Gulzar Ali were part of of medical board.
Judicial Magistrate (East) granted the motion of citizen requiring an autopsy of leading.
A petition was filed stating that the sudden death made him suspicious fans and there is a suspicion that he was killed over a property dispute.
petitioner petitioned the court to create special board for exhumation and autopsy of Hussein, saying that revealing cause of his death was necessary.
In its ruling, the court stated that Liaquat family – heirs of his grave “- claimed that conducting the presenter post-death would violate immunity of his grave.
But the court argued that if death is suspicious and there are fears that crime could be done, then the law would have to run its course.
