Furniture company Sella&Decor Kft. from Mohacs built a new production hall and purchased equipment as part of a HUF 640 million project, the company said.
In their announcement they wrote: Economic Development and Innovation Operational Program (GINOP) Hungarian Multidisciplinary Program III. With a support of HUF 321 million and the same amount of equity, the company built a new workshop in addition to the existing factory workshop in Mohacs, suitable for the production of laminated furniture as a new branch of business.
In addition to the investment, a technological upgrade was carried out, so the company, among other things, acquired a lathe, a drilling-milling machine, a CNC machining center, a milling machine, a planer, and also acquired paint pumps for high-quality surface treatment, as well as several professional sewing machines to develop the upholstery business.
They noted that the project also purchased shredders and a ready-made brick machine for sale as part of a project to utilize wood waste generated during the production process.
The developments contribute to the stable operation of the company, the growth of revenue and wages, the preservation of jobs and – through the introduction of new products to the market – the growth of export revenue, the company said.
Managing director Attila Wagner said their company, which produces mainly for export, is growing every year, currently employing 55 people. The company’s net sales in 2022 exceeded HUF 1.3 billion, and its after-tax profit is expected to be in the range of HUF 130-200 million. A year earlier, the company made a profit of HUF 134 million on net sales of HUF 1.1 billion.
