PESHAWAR: Chief Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shahzad Bangash on Monday visited the control room set up by the Department of Home and Tribal Affairs to review security measures for 9th and 10th of Muharram.
An official the flyer said that Home Minister Khushal Khan informed the chief secretary. Khushal Khan stated that the procession was being watched. in 14 districts of province, and no unpleasant incidents occurred place anywhere.
House secretary said that special software was launched to watch the processions, and his access was transferred to the head of the ministersecretariat, the head of the secretariat office and district administrations.
He added that Article 144 was introduced in sensitive areas. Khushal Khan explained that coordination had been ensured between all the parties concerned, and the security authorities on high willingness to deal with any bad incident. Expression of satisfaction over arrangements, chief secretary ordered the authorities to closely monitor on situation for ensure peaceful observance of Ashura Muharram.
