Saudi Energy Minister expresses confidence in the market

Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman vowed to continue surprising the oil markets and doing “whatever is necessary.”

He continued, “Actually, I think that people should be in their comfort zone and understand that this market will not be left behind.”

“I am definitely in my comfort zone so I am enjoying my day and I am going to enjoy the rest of the day,” bin Salman said.

Staying Focused and Unintimidated

He added that he and his colleagues are not easily intimidated and are very focused on their work.

“I hear some of these stories here and there and I laugh because I know that it will take a week or two for whatever they tell to be refuted by the facts, except that they will have to go to great lengths to try prove that these stories are not true.”

He demanded that people be able to hear what we say to them directly, and not hear it from the second, third or fourth person, where the content of the message changes.

And he indicated he was in a zone of absolute comfort, saying: “I will combine what Alan Greenspan and Draghi said that we will end the flash market efforts, and I will make a small change to what Draghi said, we will do whatever is necessary, not all that is needed, but what is necessary.

He continued, “I’d like to quote Elton John’s Still Standing, We’ll Light Up.”
