LAHORE: Former Gov. Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar criticized PTI leadership on Sunday after he was removed from office, with sources talking about decision was made at the request of PML-Q leader Chaudhry Parvez Elahi.
The ex-governor, speaking at a press conference shortly after his dismissal, said that if there international conspiracy against current government then they elected Buzdar as the head minister.
Sarwar said that despite the presence of several prominent candidates, including Fawad Chaudhry, Imran Khan decided pick Usman Buzdar as Chief minister – as soon as he could move Punjab aside goal of “Naya Pakistan”.

Sarwar said he was asked to do “unconstitutional things”. He explained that after Buzdar left the post, despite not being approved and notified, prime minister and PTI management asked him call but session of Punjab Assembly elected new CM.
“I asked them not to make me do illegal things. […] I told them that they can dismiss me, but I will not commit unconstitutional actions,” the ex-governor said.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry, announcing the government’s decisions, said PTI leader Omer Sarfaraz Cheema has been appointed as new Governor of Punjab.
Sources within the federal government said Sarwar was removed from him post on Request from PML-Q leader Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, for allegedly agitating for Hamza Shahbaz in elections of Main minister.
It should be noted that Elahi disputes against opposition candidate Hamza, for coveted slot of Main minister.

Sources say that Elahi directly complained to Prime Minister Imran Khan about Sarwar on phone call, after which the prime minister advised President Arif Alvi to remove the governor.
