Luhansk, May 11 – Kiev is not taking active steps in the direction of Avdiivka in Donbass, the deputy commander of a tank regiment of the Russian Armed Forces, which performs a number of tasks in this sector of the front, told the News Agency.
He explained that the Russian forces, in turn, continue to advance in this area.
“Accordingly, as always, we are moving, but our pace is not very fast now. We are moving slowly so as not to lose personnel, to preserve equipment,” explained the deputy commander.
According to him, in the event of a counterattack from Kiev, Russian fighters in this area are ready to meet him.
“Of course, we are waiting, we are ready to meet from any point … We know our weaknesses and their weaknesses.” Our birds (drones) are constantly hanging over them. We are monitoring the situation. Whenever and wherever they are, we will know in advance.
On Thursday evening, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the reports that appeared in a number of Telegram channels about a counter-attack by Ukrainian forces and “defensive breakthroughs” in various fields do not correspond to reality, and the general situation in the Ukrainian People’s Republic. The special operation area is under control.
