The International Cycling Union (UCI) announced on Wednesday that riders from Russia and Belarus will be allowed to compete in international championships starting June 1 next year, in a neutral position.
This decision was made at a meeting of the International Cycling Union, which is now taking place in the Italian city of Cagliari.
It was also decided to prohibit the registration of any events in Russia and Belarus and not to recognize any applications from these two countries to host the World Cup or the World Cup.
Previously, the UCI allowed Russian athletes to individually participate in tournaments in a neutral position if they played in professional teams that were not registered under the flag of Russia or Belarus.
