QUETTA: Because of decline in social values, corruption was widely accepted in society and it need of an hour to revive our golden values fight back and create disgust against in menace of corruption, said Zafar Iqbal, director general of NAB Balochistan. on Wednesday.
“There were strong feelings in the past of hatred against corruption that was forgotten with passage of time.”
DG NAB Balochistan Zafar Iqbal spoke at the closing ceremony of intercollege contests co-sponsored by the Department of Education and NAB Balochsitan here at Quetta Cantt State College.
He pointed out that corruption has damaged very fabric of society and had hopes on youth to bring positivity changes“Young people can be a catalyst for change in thinking prevailed in Society.”
“The National Accountability Bureau works in three directions. strategy those. awareness, prevention and enforcement to eradicate corruption in the country,” he said, adding that today’s ceremony was part of of awareness campaign.
Secretary of Colleges and Technical Education Hafiz Abdul Majid, Principal of NAB Balochistan Mohammad Rafiq Memon, Principal of Colleges Siraj Kakar and students from remote areas of the province took part in the ceremony.
Definition of youth real asset country, he said that with in support of Department of Education, youth engaged in positive action to create way for corruption-free Pakistan.
Referring to 33-C of NAO 1999, Zafar Iqbal said that in the prevention mode, NAB sought hard reform in in rules of in government department.
“With effort of NAB multiple loopholes in in government rules the causes of corruption have been identified,” he said, adding that after the implementation on NAB recommendation, corruption can be controlled up to great degree in government departments.
On this occasion, NAB Balochistan director Mohammad Rafik Memon said that the feelings expressed by the students in their speeches should be accepted in also their practical life.
