Resident Evil Village hit 106,631 concurrent players on Steam this weekend. That’s a record for the franchise.
At the time of writing, Village is the ninth most game played on Steam, above Warframe. That is considerably more than, among other things, the remake Resident Evil 2, which was played by about 74,000 people in 2019.
Also on Twitch was the game this weekend popular: 654,000 people watched the game at its peak.
Resident Evil Village was released this week and is the eighth installment in the franchise The horror game builds on Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and takes place around an Eastern European village.
