SUV updates technology and aesthetics improving efficiency
The new Dacia Duster will go on sale in the Portuguese market in September, featuring a renovation that includes its more technological interior, a new automatic transmission and with an exterior incidence that leaves the SUV with more efficient arguments.
The design has changed especially at the front in the aesthetic plan with a new chrome radiator grille with 3D reliefs , but also with gains in efficiency and reduction of emissions. The aesthetic purpose with an aerodynamic aim for more efficiency is also shown in the new rear spoiler and in the new 16 and 17” wheels.
Duster adopts the new Dacia signature of Y-shaped daytime running lights as well as LED lighting to front and rear and also in the front turn signals bringing high beam activation as standard.
The diesel versions of the new Duster offer the dCi 115 engine (for the 2WD or 4WD version) combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The Bi-fuel (gasoline-LPG) offers the ECO-G 100 (only for two drive wheels) combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox – and the LPG tank capacity has been increased by 50% to 49.8 liters .
The petrol range offers four options: the TCe 90 (2WD), the TCe 130 (2WD) and the TCe 150 (4WD) with a box 6-speed manual; and the TCe 150 (2WD) with the 6-speed EDC gearbox.
Spring is Dacia’s first electric
The interior is renewed in the upholstery and with a new raised center console with a highlighted retractable armrest. There are two multimedia systems as an option (Media Display and Media Nav) both featuring Wi-Fi connection for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and with a new 8” screen.
The 4WD version equipped with either Media Display or Media Nav also includes a 4×4 Monitor system that provides various types of information on the central screen: side inclinometer; tilt angle; compass; and altimeter.
The Dacia Duster’s off-road vocation is explained with an SUV’s ground height of 217 mm in the 2WD version and 214 mm in the 4×4, drawing a ventral angle of 21°, an attack angle of 30° and a take-off angle of 34° in the 2WD version and 33° in the 4×4 version.
For standard driving aids such as the speed limiter Speed and electronic stability control are combined with options such as the cruise control, the blind spot warning, the parking assistant, the ‘multiview’ camera system (outdoor environment) and the hill start assistant. In the Duster 4×4 you can also count on the adaptive speed control downhill.
